Think & Built Bigger Faster Better

A 360kW EV charging station with great capacity has been unveiled by Charge Zone. The first supercharging station, known as Supercharging Network, opened in November 2023 in Mumbai and another one in Vellore.

These stations include 360kW power cabinets and 180kW dual gun chargers. It consists of one gun with liquid cooling that can produce 500Amp (DC) current and four guns with 200Amp (60kW) each. With the help of these superchargers, EV batteries can be charged more quickly by receiving high-power DC voltage and current directly from the source, converting alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC).

Charge Zone intends to install over 150 superchargers across the nation, including the Supercharging network. Two factors led to the choice to set up the supercharger network in these two cities in particular. The first is the heavy traffic on the highway connecting Bengaluru and Chennai. The other is Mumbai’s BKC’s upscale shopping complexes.

Additionally, truck and bus fleet operators will have the chance to convert their mid-mile transportation fleet to electric vehicles thanks to these supercharger stations. Fleet operators will find charging more convenient thanks to the Charge Zone substation in Vellore and the special EV tariff line constructed by the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB).
