In 2023, the AR (augmented reality) business is doing reasonably well thanks to the increasing popularity of glasses like the Xreal Air and Rokid Max and the announcement of the Apple Vision Pro, an augmented reality headset from none other than Apple.

According to Windows Report, who cites unnamed but “reliable” sources, the Chinese conglomerate Lenovo is covertly developing a full gaming ecosystem that adheres to a number of cutting-edge technological trends. One of them, the Windows 11-powered Legion Go portable, competes with the Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck.

It is easy to assume Lenovo may be seeing the potential in it and looking to continue investing into the expanding AR and handheld gaming markets as soon as possible. As someone who has already used AR glasses with his Steam Deck, I can definitely attest that it is a fantastic, futuristic, and ultra-portable gaming setup.

The Xreal Air and Rokid Max, among others, will have to contend with those alleged AR glasses Lenovo is getting ready to issue, thus providing them 120Hz might just be the sensible move that would give them an advantage over the competition.

We don’t really know much more about Lenovo’s suspected AR gaming glasses, but as a point of comparison, the pricing of the aforementioned rivalry is between $379 and $439.

It’s important to note that Lenovo isn’t at all new to augmented reality. Lenovo has already released AR glasses, such as the ThinkReality A3 smart glasses, showing that the corporation is eager to experiment extensively and dip its toes in just about any technological trend.

Keep an eye out for further information on the portable and the rumored Lenovo AR glasses at the IFA 2023 show, which begins on September 1st, 2023. That’s where and when we’ll most likely hear more from the Chinese company directly.
