DataQube collaborates with NodeWeaver to provide full-edge cloud capability

DataQube has partnered with NodeWeaver to provide full cloud functionality
DataQube Global, an edge data center company, has partnered with NodeWeaver, a provider of autonomous and agnostic edge cloud technology, to add edge computing capabilities to its modular data center products.

The flexibility of NodeWaver’s edge cloud solution is said to be a perfect match with DataQube’s flexibility and scalability, and the new partnership will allow colocation customers to benefit from enterprise-grade cloud features at an impressive price.

DataQube’s portfolio of edge data center solutions is designed for deployment in a wide variety of challenging indoor and outdoor locations where traditional data center installations are not possible or practical. In addition, the need for local processing is growing as companies use IoT to streamline processes and gain better insight into product lifecycles. The associated data generated as a result must be processed at the source and in real-time for performance, security, and usability reasons, and content devices capable of responding to this need quickly, economically, and sustainably are in short supply. NodeWeaver’s “edge nano-cloud” operating platform installs bare metal on virtually any hardware, simplifying the deployment, management, and orchestration of distributed content infrastructure and applications. One or more NodeWeaver servers are automatically integrated at each edge location, providing a native cloud with reliable and scalable computing and application storage. NodeWeaver claims its simplicity and autonomous operation reduce the cost of ownership and reduces the need for IT expertise or human intervention.

According to DataQube, the integration of NodeWeaver’s intuitive cloud technology into the core design provides the ultra-high-speed, ultra-low-latency computing power needed for high-bandwidth applications such as Industrial IoT (IIoT), digital twins, artificial intelligence (AI), and computer vision. These distributed cloud capabilities, combined with DataQube’s human-less layout, minimal threading requirements, and green credentials, make the enterprise edge data center a truly unique system. Steve Pass, COO of DataQube Global, said: “DataQube is always looking for technology partners that can enhance the capabilities of its already unique solution.

“The flexible and self-monitoring nature of Nodeweaver technology makes it an ideal solution for DataQube and allows us to give our customers more choice, and I look forward to developing a fruitful business relationship that will benefit both parties.”

Carlo Daffara, CEO of NodeWeaver, said: “Dataqube offers a unique proposition for the technology side of data centers with a solution that is flexible and adaptable to different deployment requirements. A cloud-like architecture everywhere, secure and sustainable. We look forward to the use cases that this combination allows.”
