Robotic pizza company Piestro has teamed up with sandwich chain Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop to pilot its autonomous pizza-making kiosk at Capriotti’s flagship location in Las Vegas.
Piestro is expanding its market position as customer demand for fast food production and delivery remains high as the hospitality industry continues to struggle with staff shortages and high costs, with robotics coming up with a solution to address such challenges.
“Piestro gives our customers a new menu category for late-night dining that we didn’t have before,” said Ashley Morris, general manager of Capriotti. “During these slower blocks of the day, the module can increase revenue without having to look for additional team members.
