The development of Visor, a cordless productivity headset, has recently been announced by Immersed, a business recognized for its virtual reality (VR) app for different headsets. The device has inside-out tracking, HD colour pass through, and 4K ultra-high quality per eye OLED micro displays.

Visor offers a virtual workspace with the goal of increasing productivity. Users can spawn up to five virtual monitors for a total of five screens and view their PC monitors in virtual reality. The headset works with Pico 4, Vive Focus 3, and Meta Quest.

Visor will also have eye tracking technology, which will enable a pinch and gaze interaction system akin to Apple Vision Pro. The inbuilt eye tracking cameras illuminate the user’s pupils with infrared LEDs to provide precise eye tracking data.

Visor will include integrated hand tracking in addition to eye tracking. With the help of this function, users may naturally move their hands about the virtual workspace and interact with virtual items.

For the creation of Visor, Immersed worked with Qualcomm, Intel, and an unnamed AR/VR tech behemoth. Linux, Mac, and Windows are just a few of the operating systems that the headset will support.

According to Immersed, Visor will cost less than the $3,500 Apple Vision Pro.
