Think & Built Bigger Faster Better

To make bus travel in the State safe, secure, comfortable, and hassle-free, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation uses the most recent technologies. Recently released TSRTC Gamyam, a mobile app that lets users follow bus arrival and departure timings and much more, is now available to users.

By using the monitoring app, commuters will be able to find out the precise timing of buses operating on various routes as well as the time of their arrival at various locations throughout Telangana and neighboring States where the service is offered. With the help of this app, users will be able to plan their trips effectively and spend less time waiting at bus stops.

V.C. Sajjanar, Managing Director, TSRTC, introduced the cutting-edge software at Hyderabad’s Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station. He stated in a tweet that “We have currently given TSRTC’s 4,170 buses a tracking facility. Hyderabad Metro Express and Pushpak Airport services both have tracking capabilities. Similar to this, all buses in the districts aside from Palle Velam have access to this facility. Starting in October, we’ll tie the tracking system with all the other services. You may find out which buses are available from the starting point to the destination at what times by using the ‘Gayam’ app.

People will be able to book their travel in advance with the help of the information regarding the Expected Time of Arrival at the boarding stage and chosen destination. It will significantly help people plan their route to airports and train stations for their subsequent journey.

In addition to timetables, the passengers will also be aware of the driver and conductor’s information, be able to follow the whereabouts of the city bus by entering its route number, and be informed of long-distance services by submitting their reservation number. The app also offers details on the bus stops that are closest to the user’s location.

The app includes unique features to make travel safer, especially for women, people in need of medical attention, and accidents. Its Plug a Bus feature, which is available from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. and prioritizes the protection of female passengers, is especially helpful for female travelers in places without nighttime bus stops. They can enter the information in the app, which will cause a green light to display on their smartphone’s screen automatically. The driver must stop when this light is directed in his direction in order to pick up the female passenger.

In addition, there is an option to reach the TSRTC call center using the SOS button, and other services like Dial 100 and 108 have been integrated with it. With this feature, information can be sent immediately from the app to the police. Through this app, passengers may also report information on bus breakdowns, medical assistance, traffic accidents, etc. to aid the relevant officials in taking prompt and necessary action.

Gamyam is available for free download from the Google Play Store or the TSRTC website, www.tsrtc.telangana.gov.in. Passengers don’t have to provide any personal information in the app, which is available in Telugu and English.
