Expanded Multi‑Billion Dollar Engagement

STMicroelectronics has expanded its multi‑year, multi‑billion dollar partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS). Under the new agreement, STMicroelectronics will supply advanced semiconductor technologies that are being used in AWS’s cloud and high‑performance computing infrastructure.

Supporting Cloud and AI Data Centers

The collaboration is being focused on enabling high‑performance compute infrastructure for cloud services and AI data centers. STMicroelectronics’ chips — including mixed‑signal processors, microcontrollers, and connectivity solutions — are expected to help AWS deliver faster, more scalable computing for its customers.

Warrants Issued to AWS

As part of the expansion, STMicroelectronics has issued warrants that give AWS the option to acquire up to 24.8 million shares in the company over the next seven years, reinforcing the long‑term strategic nature of the relationship.

Boosting Cloud Capabilities

Overall, this expanded engagement with AWS is being seen as a major step for STMicroelectronics in becoming a key technology supplier for cloud and AI infrastructure, supporting faster innovation and more efficient compute‑intensive workloads.
