A global provider of cutting-edge Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity, Soracom, Inc., has partnered with UScellular to offer a new IoT data plan that is intended to simplify data costs and ensure regulatory compliance for IoT use cases that may call for a local profile for devices in the United States.

For optimal coverage density even in isolated, rural locations, Soracom’s new Plan-US offers countrywide, multicarrier 4G, 5G, LTE-M, and NB-IoT data, including major U.S. carriers and smaller carriers. Affordable monthly data bundles that support IoT deployments at every step, from prototype to full deployment, make deployment costs obvious and predictable. Bundles range from 1MB to 10GB in size.

Through Soracom Subscription Containers, Plan-US additionally offers the flexibility to add profiles for international roaming or maximum multicarrier coverage as required while keeping bundled pricing.

According to Kenta Yasukawa, CTO and co-founder of Soracom, “coverage you can rely on is everything in IoT. Therefore, we have looked for ways to provide denser coverage for less populated areas in the U.S.” “To put IoT projects on a fast track to scale for customers with predictable data needs, Soracom Plan-US combines the simplicity of bundled data with the power of cloud-native 5G, LTE-M, and NB-IoT.”

“We’re excited to work with Soracom to provide a seamless wireless experience for our customers with IoT and M2M application needs and help them get connected wherever they are,” said Kim Kerr, senior vice president, enterprise sales and operations for UScellular.
