Think & Built Bigger Faster Better

On Thursday, N Chandrasekaran, the chairman of Tata Sons, stated that Air India would use the greatest artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies available. He also emphasized that the airline is more than simply another business for the firm; it is a passion and a national purpose.

Since taking over in January of last year, Tata Group has been guiding the transformation of loss-making Air India, and Chandrasekaran claimed that most of the time, he hears “caring criticism” about the airline, which also increases the dedication.

Speaking at a ceremony in the nation’s capital to showcase Air India’s new brand identity and aircraft livery, he said the airline is concentrating on modernizing all of its human resources-related operations.

“We are concentrating on modernizing all facets of the airline’s human resources. Our fleet needs a lot of maintenance. It will take time even if we have placed one of the largest fleet orders. We need to adequately refurbish our current fleet in the interim. Our goal is to have the best AI and machine learning capabilities of any airline, he added. Today marks a very significant milestone, according to Chandrasekaran, who also serves as the chairman of Air India. “A new, resurgent India with limitless aspirations is also the backdrop to our vision for the airline.”

He emphasized that the new logo, represented by the pinnacle of the historically utilized golden window, stands for confidence, progress, and endless possibilities. We have been working on this journey for the last 15 months or so because our vision is to make this airline world-class in terms of modernity, safety, the most cutting-edge technology, exceptional customer service, and the experience that Air India used to be known for, Chandrasekaran said. “Air India is not another business for us; it’s a passion, a big national mission.

In January 2022, Tata Group took over management of Air India. “I receive at least a few emails per day, either complementing or criticizing, but even in the criticisms, lengthy or short, there is a small amount of care and heart – how can we continue on like that? Could it not be fixed? Most of the time, the criticism is offered with kindness, therefore our dedication is only growing, Chandrasekaran said. The airline was established in 1932 and given the name Tata Airlines by Jehangir Ratanji Dadabhoy (JRD). Air India was the name given to Tata Sons’ aviation subsidiary in 1946, and in 1948, Air India International began operating flights to Europe. The international service was one of the first PPPs in India, with the government owning 49%, the Tatas holding 25%, and the general public owning the remaining 35%. Air India was nationalized in 1953, and the Tata Group acquired ownership of the airline last year from the government.
