KOHAT: The Sub-National Governance (SNG) programme, a DFID-funded initiative to strengthen governance, and the tehsil municipal administration, Hangu, on Tuesday unveiled the E-TMA App, enabling users to submit requests for various services and complaints from their cellphones.

The app offers ease, transparency, and efficiency while facilitating easy access to municipal services for citizens. Users can check the status of their service requests using the app’s real-time progress monitoring function.

SNG Pakistan’s Hangu team leader Kashif Ali made the following statement on behalf of the organization:

“The launch of the mobile app highlighted the TMA’s commitment to establishing a transparent and effective governance system tailored to citizens’ needs.”

The app was introduced at a gathering held at the deputy commissioner Fazal Akbar’s office.

According to Mr. Ali, the innovative digital solution, created in collaboration with the local government, elections, and rural development department, was a significant step toward a society that is digitally empowered and centered on its citizens.

Notably, he said that the Swabi district was where the E-TMA App’s trial experiment was initially effectively implemented. “Building on this success, TMA Hangu’s partnership with SNG advanced the initiative.”

According to him, the local government, elections, and rural development department received the gratitude of TMA Hangu and SNG for their important cooperation and assistance, which led to the successful launch of the app.
