Think & Built Bigger Faster Better

After receiving positive feedback for its comment filtering capabilities in YouTube Studio, YouTube is now testing comment filters in the main YouTube app as well. These filters will make it simpler for creators to identify pertinent comments in-stream based on a variety of criteria.

The new comment filters, which contain terms like “Super Thanks,” “Channel Subscribers,” and more, as you can see in this illustration, will allow artists to focus on various remark kinds to make sure they respond to each.

Importantly, the new filters will let creators sort comments by those to which they haven’t yet replied. By emphasizing in-stream acknowledgement, this could assist to strengthen connections with viewers.

With a limited sample of creators, we’re trying these filters. You’ll see more filters while viewing your own videos in the YouTube main app if you’re taking part in this trial. Along with the current sort choices, such as top and newest comments, these filters will show up at the top of your comments stream.

According to YouTube, viewers cannot see the new filters; they are only visible to the video’s producer.

It might be a useful tool for improving the viewing experience for your audience and ensuring that each pertinent comment is addressed promptly, especially those from paying subscribers.

Selected YouTube users are presently participating in the test.
