October 12, 2023

Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) today released fresh insights from its AI portfolio, reiterating the company’s leadership position in the deployment of AI for the federal government and increasing the ability to accomplish crucial mission accomplishment via a new stack of AI capabilities.

Booz Allen has scaled and concentrated its AI portfolio to deliver new, specialized AI technology stacks that help clients achieve mission objectives more quickly, cost-effectively, and at enterprise size. This is done by bringing learnings from long-standing client engagements to serve those rising federal needs. Initial growth zones consist of:

Generic AI:

Frameworks and pipelines for rapid and secure foundational model change to meet specific mission needs. An integrated software and AI solution called “responsible AI” is designed to manage risk throughout the whole machine learning (ML) and generative AI lifecycle.

Adversarial AI:

A service that handles risk across the AI lifecycle and provides clients with a range of alternatives to research, evaluate, engineer, monitor, and enhance model security.

Cyber AI:

Programs that enable the deployment of machine learning (ML) and cyber AI with an emphasis on defensive cyber operations. Integrated software services for creating, delivering, operating, and maintaining computer vision in the cloud or at the edge are referred to as vision AI.

Additional stacks will be added in the future as new areas of capability demand are found. These AI stacks expand on Booz Allen’s already-existing AI portfolio, which also includes a committed R&D team including AI Strategy, AI Engineering, Model Development, and Quantum Sciences.

“With our recently released AI stacks, Booz Allen continues to be a step ahead in the current AI ecosystem. John Larson, executive vice president at Booz Allen and head of the company’s AI group, said: “We are focused on securely, responsibly, and swiftly bringing true AI solutions to the federal government utilizing explainable, trustworthy technology.

According to Larson, “Our clients operate in complex environments where AI capabilities must be dependable, scalable, and tailored for mission applications.” We’ve listened to these needs and created an AI service catalog that enables our talent to provide unique AI capabilities quickly and securely across on-premises, in the cloud, hybrid cloud, or multi cloud environments, as well as at the edge, in order to advance the missions of our clients.

Booz Allen’s portfolio and client impact demonstrate the company’s decades-long commitment to bringing AI out of the lab and providing practical value. There are currently close to 200 active AI projects across defense, national security, and civil missions, including three of the largest AI contracts within the Department of Defense.

According to Susan Penfield, chief technology officer at Booz Allen, “Booz Allen’s strength is our connection to our clients’ missions and deep understanding of the impactful, meaningful technology required to solve their most difficult challenges—which, in turn, benefits the country and its citizens.” “We are confidently and expertly continuing to make AI impact for our clients, integrating best-in-class commercial technology to accelerate mission success at the intersection of ‘AI &’ in a highly reliable, repeatable way,” the company said.
