According to a historic visual case study published by MDC (Minimum Deposit Casinos), the globalgaming market is expanding, with millions of people logging on to play their favorite games virtually.

Twenty-three million people used augmented reality (AR) and 98 million people used virtual reality (VR) in 2023. It is anticipated that there will be more than 100 million AR and VR users globally by 2027.

The iGaming resource portal MDC conducted the research and produced an immersive visual case study, outlining the most popular video games in the US and around the world as of 2023, in partnership with
NowSourcing, a well-known design firm.

Key Results:

First-person shooters, action adventures, simulations, multiplayer online battle arenas (MOBAs), and sports games are the most played video game genres.

Country-specific preferences for video games differ; for example, China favors Honor of Kings while France adores Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Casino, fitness, and AR/VR gaming are some of the newest trends in the gaming industry.
