ExpressVPN has begun rolling out local currency pricing across multiple regions, moving away from its earlier USD-only payment model to make subscriptions more accessible and predictable for international users.
Local Currencies Now Available
The VPN provider now lets customers in the United Kingdom (GBP), Eurozone (EUR), and Brazil (BRL) pay for services in their local currencies, eliminating the need for constant exchange-rate conversions at checkout. This means subscribers in these regions will see fixed prices in their own currency, providing clearer costs and a smoother billing experience.
More Markets Getting Support Soon
ExpressVPN is also testing and rolling out local pricing in additional countries, including Canada (CAD), Australia (AUD), Japan (JPY), Singapore (SGD), and Hong Kong (HKD) — and some users in these markets may already see new currency options at checkout. Future plans include expanding this offering to more regions like New Zealand (NZD) and Switzerland (CHF) in the coming weeks.
Better Payment Experience
This update is part of a broader effort to localise the payment and subscription experience. By supporting local currencies, ExpressVPN aims to give users more transparency and convenience when signing up or renewing their privacy and security services. Beyond just currency changes, the company plans to introduce regional payment methods such as “Buy Now, Pay Later” (BNPL) options in select markets later on.
Applies to New Subscription Plans
The currency support rollout applies to ExpressVPN’s updated subscription structure, which includes tiered plans like Basic, Advanced, and Pro — with the Pro tier offering the full suite of privacy tools.
By expanding currency support, ExpressVPN is making it easier for users around the globe to protect their online activity with pricing that reflects their local market — helping reduce barriers to entry for digital privacy services.
