On Thursday, October 5 and Friday, October 6, TDC Studios will open its doors in Alexandria, Sydney, providing professionals in the film, television, events, and advertising industries with the most recent information on research and development, an opportunity to try out technology, and the chance to take part in discussions about XR and virtual production.
According to David O’Connor (DOC), technical project manager of TDC Studios, “Australia is developing into a center of excellence in digital filmmaking.” “Virtual production has grown significantly over the past few years, and we’re seeing a boom in high-end production techniques that mirror that growth.”
Through demonstrations of XR broadcast workflows, augmented reality, and tracking techniques that will enable them to seamlessly blend live and virtual worlds, TDC Studios will be showcasing innovations with technology from ARRI, Barco, GhostFrame, Megapixel VR, Pixotope, and others.
The Australian Cinematography Society (ACS), honorary Visual Effects Society members, and production staff from Australian film, television, and advertising will all have the chance to experience the world of possibilities that XR and virtual production have to offer at the XR Showcase at TDC Studios.
