Resident Evil 4 Remake’s VR Mode will be available for the first time at the Tokyo Game Show, according to Capcom.
Capcom released its TGS 2023 program, which includes the upcoming Resident Evil 4 Remake VR Mode on PSVR 2, along with the upcoming augmented reality title Monster Hunter Now. It is still uncertain what portions of Resident Evil 4 will be included in this demo, which will join other flatscreen games like Street Fighter 6, Exoprimal, and Apollo Justice:
Resident Evil 4 Remake’s VR Mode was first announced about a year ago, and production on it was confirmed in February. We received our first gameplay glimpse at the PlayStation Showcase in May. The whole campaign is playable on PSVR 2 despite Capcom not announcing a release date at the time, according to PlayStation Blog.
It’s not the first time Capcom has introduced a public VR demo at Tokyo Game Show. As you may remember, the publisher demonstrated VR compatibility for Resident Evil Village at the previous event, showing off some of Castle Dimitrescu.
An announcement for a “TGS 2023 Capcom Online Special Program” presentation was also announced today. This will air on September 21 at 7 a.m. PDT and might include fresh information about the VR Mode.
The Tokyo Game Show 2023 will be held in Chiba, Japan, from September 21–24. TGS confirmed that the VR portion of this year’s exhibition, which will be available on PC VR and Quest, will run from September 21 to October 1.
