The business is experimenting with over 20 new ways generative AI may enhance user experiences across all of its social media networks, including WhatsApp and Instagram.

In order to improve transparency, Meta Platforms, a Facebook subsidiary, announced on Wednesday that it will be incorporating invisible watermarking into its text-to-image production product Imagine with Meta AI chatbot in the upcoming weeks.

The social media firm rolled out products infused with artificial intelligence (AI) for consumers, including bots that create photo-realistic images and smart glasses that answer questions, in late September.

“We aim to bring invisible watermarking to many of our products with AI-generated images in the future,” Meta said in a blog post, adding that it is resilient to common image manipulations like cropping, screen shots, among others

Due to ChatGPT’s success—a chatbot supported by Microsoft and OpenAI—businesses are now using massive language models to drive innovation, draw in new investors, and communicate with and acquire existing customers through AI-powered solutions.

Using a proprietary model built on top of the potent Llama 2 large language model, which the company made available for public commercial usage in July, Meta created Meta AI.
