Even in the South Korean military, Kim Seokjin, also known as BTS Jin, has been making waves since his enlistment in December 2022. More recently, after only a few months in the military, the K-pop singer of the worldwide phenomenon BTS has already forced the South Korean military to reorganize the communication system for its enlisted troops. The developer of the communication platform,

EnableOnSoft, released reports that led to the discovery of this latest development. According to the company, Jin has already flooded the UI/UX of their app, The Camp, with an astounding 320,000 letters from fans.

The name of the military’s current dedicated channel of communication is The Camp. The IT company EnableOnSoft released the app in 2018 as a comprehensive platform for military personnel’s communication needs, spanning from pre-enlistment to discharge. Its main function allows loved ones to encourage trainees with notes.

Friends and family of Korean military personnel can send messages to enlisted soldiers electronically, view real-time photos of their well-being, and learn more about their meals by visiting the website and mobile application The Camp. Over 55 million letters from internet users had been collected by the app prior to BTS Kim Seokjin’s recruitment.
