technologies with advanced technology, reliable performance, and competitive cost are used in medium-to-low-speed IoT connection scenarios, and medium-to-low-speed terminals also increase Cat.1 requirements:

Smaller size: Current Cat.1 modules are generally too large, and small terminals such as trackers and smart employee cards have high module size requirements.
Low power consumption: In battery-powered scenarios, modules have high power consumption.
Package Compatibility: Existing module manufacturers compete with each other and packages vary.
Stable Power Supply: The lack of MCUs increases the stable power supply requirements for modules that support OpenCPU.
To solve the common problems of industrial customers, the general trends in Cat.1 development are extreme simplification and integration. Neoway recently released the industry’s smallest OpenCPU Cat.1 module N706 with dimensions of only 15.8mm × 17.7mm, which helps in the development and design of a device terminal with a more limited size to be more flexible.

As the smallest OpenCPU Cat.1 module in the industry, N706 supports 13 communication interfaces and can be mounted on peripheral devices such as screen, camera, SD card, six-axis sensor and acceleration sensor, which can better meet the needs of PoC, POS, tracker, BMS, shared bikes and other terminals. N706 supports graphical development interfaces, simplified JS script development, online hot update, and many built-in IDE prototyping cases (positioning, PoC, voice broadcast, and shared power exchange), which save product development time and effort and double the results with half the effort.

The N706 also maximizes low power consumption, reducing power consumption by approximately 15% compared to the previous generation of Cat.1 modules. It is very suitable for medium to low speed and low power application scenarios such as financial payment (sound box), logistics tracking (locator) and intelligent security (IPC). The N700 is an ultra-low power Cat.1 module specifically designed for the financial payment industry. It will be pin2pin compatible with the N715 module, Neoway’s star product of the previous generation in the financial sector. It helps to fully inherit the features and further increase the excellent performance on the basis of ensuring no improvement for the customers.

Supported by the Neopipe cloud platform, the N700 provides more stable and reliable high-quality communication for payment terminals in the POS industry.

The N700 is being deployed in batches and Neoway has teamed up with leading financial payment companies to work together to improve communication in the POS industry for electronic signatures.
