Inmarsat ELEVATE package everything needed to accelerate IoT growth Inmarsat has launched ELEVATE, a program consisting of three critical pillars to accelerate the growth of IoT. According to Omnia, the number of global IoT satellite connections is expected to continue to grow at a CAGR of 25 percent. Inmarsat aims to support and further facilitate this rapid growth. “The satellite IoT market has been growing steadily for years – and now is the time to up the ante and begin the next phase of even faster growth. Inmarsat ELEVATE will help our customers realize the promise of the IoT, though , while empowering the broader satellite IoT Ecosystem to make it happen reality,” said Mike Carter, president of Inmarsat Enterprise. “The ELEVATE community is playing an active role in addressing the planet’s major challenges and helping to build a more sustainable, efficient and secure global supply chain.” The three pillars of ELEVATE are: Development Program – Supporting IoT solution providers, system integrators, machine builders and OEMs looking to scale. Partner Ecosystem – Continue to develop a community of organizations that can share knowledge and work together to accelerate the growth of the satellite IoT industry. Online Market – Used to promote IoT solutions that can be used anywhere in the world, even in the most remote locations. Inmarsat expects ELEVATE to help its partners achieve double-digit growth over the next five years. “Launching a program like Inmarsat ELEVATE is about leveraging our expertise and technological strength for the benefit of our customers – and we’re sure it will have a huge impact on the organizations that need it most,” he added. “We’re excited to work with as many new partners as possible and see what we can do together – as individual companies and as a new industry-changing game.” Inmarsat continues to expand its ELERA network. Late last year, the company launched the first of its seven I-6 F1 satellites – the first L-band and Ka-band hybrid satellites. The satellite will join and add capacity to Inmarsat’s current 14 geostationary satellites. “Inmarsat’s ELERA network provides the essential backbone for IoT innovation, enabling our development partners to scale and expand their operations, supported by reliable and seamless global connectivity,” said Carter. “Our partner ecosystem will enable knowledge sharing and collaboration at an unprecedented scale, between parties of all sizes, across all geographies and industries, while our online marketplace will expand IoT solutions for every business need.” Inmarsat ELEVATE event Inmarsat is holding its ELEVATE event at 10:00 a.m. on May 10, 2022 at the Cisco Lounge, Levi’s Stadium, 4900 Marie P DeBartolo Way, Santa Clara, CA. Attendees can enjoy refreshments and networking while learning how ELERA can help your IoT deployment. Technology pioneer Kevin Ashton – who first coined the term “Internet of Things” – will also talk about his view of the current and future IoT market.
