Think & Built Bigger Faster Better

Globalstar has announced the addition of a new industrial IoT asset tracking solution to its growing portfolio.

The firm has created GSatSolar, a compact, durable, and cost-effective tracking device designed to improve the effectiveness of tracking software solutions for Value-Added Resellers (VARs) and clients, in conjunction with Global Satellite Engineering (GSE).

GSatSolar, which is powered by satellite technology, enables a greater number of trackable assets to be tracked in near-real time. This development seeks to offer more accurate and useable data in the field, improving operational efficiency and enabling full remote IoT autonomous data collecting.

Globalstar’s VP of Sales, Jake Rembert, expressed excitement about the new offering: “GSatSolar is a low-cost option to remotely monitor assets on the Globalstar LEO network and delivers a plethora of verified IoT data across IoT applications.”

Rembert emphasized GSatSolar’s adaptability, which extends the company’s satellite tracking capabilities while keeping attributes like low power consumption, longer lifespan, and great performance.

The tiny size of GSatSolar provides for versatile mounting options, appealing to a wide range of enterprise industrial applications, and it claims to be sturdy and resistant to high temperatures. The device, which is equipped with a solar panel and an internal battery, can provide data for years in locations with regular sun exposure.

Location tracking, accelerometer functionality, and Bluetooth sensor options are among the key data collection capabilities of GSatSolar.

Users can choose to send data to Globalstar’s SPOT My Globalstar platform, which includes capabilities like as live and historical tracking, alarms, geofences, and shared views, or directly to a VAR’s back office or customer endpoint.

Globalstar’s latest acquisition demonstrates the company’s dedication to offering innovative and dependable tracking solutions to meet the changing needs of enterprises operating in remote locations.
