The Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI), in partnership with the Federation of Indian Fantasy Sports (FIFS) and the E-Gaming Federation (EGF), hosted the Indian Gaming Convention (IGC), where the online gaming industry signed a voluntary “Code of Ethics for Online Gaming Industries” today. This is a significant development in the industry. The Federation of Indian Fantasy Sports, the E-Gaming Federation, and they have India Gaming Federation (AIGF) have signed the voluntary Code of Ethics, which was compiled by the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI). It will function as the signatories’ “Joint Declaration of Intent,” pledging to work toward creating a user-protected, reputable, and safe digital gaming sector.

Leaders in the sector engaged in stimulating conversations at the event about regulatory frameworks, public policy imperatives, and the contribution of the online gaming business to the development of digital India. During the first meeting, an independent report named “New Frontiers: Navigating the Evolving Landscape of Online Gaming Industry” was released by renowned consulting company Ernst & Young (EY). The paper outlines the industry’s future prospects and emphasizes its growth potential.

“Four industry associations representing the Indian digital gaming sector have signed the Voluntary Code of Ethics for Online Gaming Intermediaries, which we at IAMAI are pleased to have developed. According to Dr. Subho Ray, President of IAMAI, “this is a progressive step towards building a transparent and accountable gaming ecosystem with a focus on consumer protection.”
